We tend to run into a problem as drummers.
We love to learn cool patterns and interesting combinations. Some of the best ones are rudiments.
So we spend a lot of time learning rudiments; but then we struggle to *actually* use them.
One of those is the paradiddle. If you're new to those, you're probably wondering why you needed to learn it in the first place.
I remember learning paradiddles and wondering (for quite a while) how I was supposed to *actually* use them on the drum set. It wasn't until a teacher showed me that I actually had a real way to implement them.
Here's what he showed me, plus some of my own additions :)
