Happy new year all! In this video I wanted to focus on which currency items are too rare to use frivolously, which ones you can just throw onto items, and which are in between. We'll cover why the best use case for Divine Orbs may be to hoard them to trade in bulk to wealthy players for expensive items like Astramentis or Dream Fragments or Ingenuity, as well as what those players use them for.
We'll discuss best use cases for all of them, as well as current trade value. Even if you play in SSF, trade value is worth considering to some extent as it indicates how supply and demand line up with a lot of players.
In the background you'll see a meme item flip that made me a couple dozen exalts but wasn't really worth the effort and gold. But hey, you have to try silly things sometimes.

1:00 The Currency Exchange (unlocks in Act 4)
1:36 Scroll of Wisdom - basically worthless, useful but vendors sell them for 25 gold.
2:10 Orb of Augmentation - basically worthless, fritter these away if you think a lucky outcome will help
2:52 Orb of Transmutation - Cheap. There's a hidden opportunity cost though - you lose the option of the Orb of Chance (as well as the Alch)
4:07 Regal Orb - Cheap now (they weren't on day 1). Use these on any 2-mod magic item.
4:35 Advanced use case of Regal Orb - Omen of Sinistral Coronation with a Waystone. This is niche, but can be useful. Sometimes.
5:33 Exalted Orb - These are falling in price hard, and are the default currency of low value trades. Not many people are exalting waystones yet, but as they get cheaper it will happen more.
7:00 Chaos Orb - quite a bit more valuable than exalts now. Drop rate was nerfed early after player feedback.

12:13 Orbs of Alchemy - not free, but not expensive either. Don't feel you have to hoard these, but you won't have lots either. Use only on the most important item slots early. Late, use on Waystones and some jewellery.
13:19 Divine Orb - the expensive one! Unbelievably good on a few unique items - Ingenuity in particular.
15:01 Orb of Chance - the wildcard. Odds are still being researched on this item. You will often hit common uniques with this.
17:11 Orb of Annulment - the rare currency that doesn't yet have major use cases... but may in the future! There are two use cases though.

21:00 Determinisitic Upgrade Orbs - Armorer's Scrap (cheap)
21:56 Determinisitic Upgrade Orbs - Blacksmith's Whetstone (cheap)

23:11 Determinisitic Upgrade Orbs - Gemcutter's Prism - somewhat more expensive, quite rare. Think of this as an endgame upgrade, but not as big an upgrade as the Greater and Perfect Jeweller's Orbs.
