Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This video shows a short tutorial on the grouting technique that I use for the back sides of some of my polymer clay jewelry. This surface finish is very versatile and could be used as a cover-up if ever needed. The beginning slab is Premo translucent mixed with 2 holographic powders (Rose Gold, Dark Red) and 1 glitter (Bronze). After mixing in powders, the clay is rolled to a #4 on my Atlas 150. These are the same 3 powders used in the video to coat the sides in order to create a smooth finish and maintain the look and feel of a tile. The blue "grout" is thin, much like syrup. The side coating is much thicker with a higher ratio of additive to liquid clay and is more like a loose paste. You must really get a good press into the clay from the texture sheet, in order to make wells deep enough to hold your grout and keep parts of your clay exposed above the grout, in order to maintain integrity of the underlying design. The black rubberized make-up sponge is used as an anchor, holding the piece in place so it can be swiped across firmly to remove excess grout. As always, if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments, and thanks for watching. 😊 Eleven of the tools and materials that I used are listed below and can be found on my Amazon storefront.
