Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Huge thanks to @UnikeysOfficial for sponsoring todays video with the new Keygeek Pomkin Linear Switches! These ones are definitely for my Halloween lovers out there such as my wife. Being Keygeek's first full pom switch, this one was definitely on my radar. Let's talk about them!

Cost: When it comes to the cost of switches now a days, many companies are definitely competing. 10 switches in a pack, with each pack costing $3.50, .35 cents a switch is extremely cost effective. I can remember a time when the only switches that cheap were things like KTT or maybe some Akko switches. With the cost being this low, these are hard to pass up.

Sound: These switches lean towards a deeper and thockier sound signature for sure. These switches pair quite well with polypropylene. I can say with confidence these would pair great with plates like Pom, as well as Polycarbonate. Even with no foams, the switches sound pretty nice to my ears. A tad bit deep for my taste but never the less, they sound great! I will mention the materials used does create a slight scratch when accentuating on the switch, but were not getting Cherry or even HMX Sonja scratchiness.

Aesthetics: At first glace, the only thing i can think of is Pumkins! I would love to use these in a board that is solely catered to a Halloween theme. The top and bottom housing consist of an extremely vibrant orange that is highly reminiscent of Pumkins. The modified pom stems in green is legit like a stem of a pumkin. I hereby dub thee nickname Jack, after the Pumkin king himself!

Feel: In my opinion, these switches are a tad bit heavy for my taste/preference. With the operating force being 58g, that's typically where i like my bottom out forces to be. Have been using these for the past few days and i have been growing some fatigue, the same ways i would when using stock springs in cherry switches. While it is manageable, i typically prefer a lighter typing experience. They are smooth on the downstrokes with the help of keygeeks new molds, i would say extremely smooth being an all pom stem!

In conclusion these switches are worth the try, but do have a heavier typing experience as opposed to what I am mainly used too. For the acoustics they have a deeper and thockier sound profile. Thanks for watching everyone, hope we're all having a wonderful day. Feel free to pick up a set for yourself and give them a shot using the link down below. Much love, and until the next time!
