"That smells good. I could smell it when I was coming in." Pop Jones says he can smell the goodness all the way in the garage as he was coming in from work. These little delicious bites in gravy are absolutely amazing and so easy to make. You can do them in the pan as I did, or bake them in the oven as our family before us did. Either way, I hope you make them. Original recipe below as well as the changes I made.
Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 egg
1/2 cup onion, diced
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp oil
Directions:
Drizzle oil in large frying pan.
In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and rice. Make golf ball size meatballs and flatten them out into patties. Add to frying pan. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan and set aside. Make the brown gravy.
Brown Gravy
2 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp brown gravy mix
1 Tbsp beef bouillon
1/4 tsp balsamic vinegar
2-3 cups beef broth
Heat oil in a pan. Add flour and cook 2-3 minutes stirring constantly. Add brown gravy mix, beef bouillon, and balsamic vinegar, stirring well. Add beef broth until the right consistency, not too thick but not too thin. Add patties back to the pan with the gravy and let it simmer on low about 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
