First port trip alone. Flew in so there is no backup vehicle. Whatever condition the 1988 Nissan BE-1 is in is what I get and that is my challenge to bring it home.
I ran into some issues right off the bat. This car did not get serviced while it was in Japan like some of my other cars as I wanted some adventure. It did get new tires and the brakes failed and had to be repaired.
Keep an open mind and don't assume stuff as probably 99% of these imported cars have nearly no fuel in the tank. With that assumption and me checking the tank I led myself to believe something was wrong with the filler neck or tank and never even considered that the tank was full LOL
I made it home alive, the car drives well and is as fun as an old crummy 80s automatic could be. One of these days I will get home before it gets dark for a port day.
