Pot Roast Recipe
2.5 to 3 pounds chuck roast
oregano fresh 2 stems
rosemary fresh 2 stems
sage fresh 3 leaves
1 tablespoon marjoram dried2 teaspoons adobo red cap
2 tablespoons beef bouillon powder
1/2 tablespoon dried thyme or 3 stems fresh
1 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon salt or to taste
2 teaspoon black pepper or taste
Oil for browning meat
Worcestershire sauce for coating the meat
1 large onion, Vidalia, yellow, white, or red sliced
1 bell pepper green sliced
1 bell pepper red sliced
3 tablespoons oil for browning meat
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 1/2 cup red wine or substitute with more broth
8-9 cups beef broth
3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
3 bay leaves
potatoes Yukon gold or Russett
carrots
Add potatoes and carrots after 2 1/2 hours
Total cooking time 3 1/2 hours @ 375F
