Power BI - a customised gantt chart shows the dates assets are on hire. The chart is then updated to show the gap periods when the assets are available for hire. The off-hire periods are not in the dataset therefore they are created using a merge, with the available periods then appended to the original dataset. Part of the this process involves resolving the issue of comparing the dates on one line with dates on another. ⏱️ Timestamps: 00:00 Introduction 00:28 Explain data 00:50 Create gantt chart with hire periods 04:05 Create hire gap periods (asset available for hire) 06:45 Merge to move data down one row 10:00 Create available start and end dates 12:30 Append queries in power query 17:30 Asset hire period ends one day, new hire period starts the next 20:30 Create available period after the last hire date 🔔 Like and subscribe to the channel for more Power BI tips and tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/@DFK_data?sub_confirmation=1 🔥 Power BI Playlists: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL856L03J0TRxECKNvqxtTbfqAaBiVz_wv https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL856L03J0TRz2UwQjSJvFfm2wPGtsDomi 👉 Follow me on LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/pauline-cairns-data #powerbi #ganttchart #powerbitutorial #data #datavisualisation #gantt #timeline #datavisualization
