This video shows how I power carved a dough bowl, using the Arbortech Turboplane and other tools. Power carving wood is so much fun! This bowl is very similar to a dough bowl my grandma passed down to my mom. The wood came from my dad who cut down a maple tree about 2 years ago. The tree was in danger of falling on their house.
I'll show you how I prepared the wood, how I carved the bowl, how I sanded it, and how I finished it. I'll be using Arbortech tools to make the bowl. Power carving is much easier when using the Arbortech tools.
