This series explores the intersection of sensuality, divinity, and the complex roles of women in society, blending sacred and provocative imagery to spark conversations about power, resilience, and transformation. As I work, I use personal ephemera, burning techniques, vintage book pages, water media, India ink, homemade encaustic-compatible glue, and chalk/clay/mineral paint, weaving these materials into layers that carry intentional meaning. Each element represents facets of women's experiences, histories, and cultural narratives, creating a visual dialogue about identity and empowerment.
This foundational process transitions into the first layers of encaustic medium, setting the stage for a richly textured and luminous piece that embodies the essence of the Erotic Saint.
