Ukraine has accepted a 30-day proposal for an immediate ceasefire in the longstanding conflict with Russia.
A delegation from the United States and Ukraine met in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (local time) to discuss a path forward to peace more than three years after the invasion.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “The ball is now in their court. We hope the Russians will reciprocate."
Sky News host Gabriella Power said the Trump administration “deserves full credit” for this development.
“It is step towards peace after more than three years of war… a step that the Biden administration and the EU never got close to,” Ms Power said.
