Putri Junjung Buih is a folklore originating from a story in South Kalimantan, the Kingdom of Amuntai was founded. The people lived in peace under the rule of two leaders, King Patmaraga and his younger brother, King Sukmaraga.
The two kings ruled fairly, respected each other, and lived in harmony. But there is one thing that reduces their happiness, namely they have not been blessed with children.
King Patmaraga prayed, asking God for guidance. He got the answer through a dream. In his dream, King Patmaraga was asked to meditate at the Agung Temple which is located outside the Amuntai Kingdom. The next day, without delay, King Patmaraga departed with several palace guards and elders, Datuk Pujung.
