After over a year of ownership on the Hughes Power Watchdog Hardwired RV Surge Protector + EPO I noticed a red LED on the face of the device allegedly indicating a missing neutral from the power feeding into my coach. However, the Power Watchdog face remained white, there was no error code on the LCD display, and power was still being supplied to the coach. The Power Watchdog is supposed to cut power to the coach, turn the face red, and show an error code when a neutral is missing from the power. So, I troubleshooted with Hughes via email and they were perplexed as to why the small red LED was lighting up by itself without the other error codes and red lights mentioned. They advised me to double check all my wiring to make sure nothing was loose. In today's video I'll let you watch in as I try and troubleshoot the small red LED error light indicating a missing neutral, and then arrive at a solution in the end. I'll also try to mention some helpful tips along the way and answer related questions I've gotten concerning the Hughes Power Watchdog Hardwired RV Surge Protector + EPO.
