For today's episode of "Professional Dancer Reacts" I react to FELIP "Bulan" Practice and Performance Video
I'm blown away by the krump choreography and overall concept. This video showcases FELIP's skills not just as a singer, but as a dancer who can truly embody the krump style.
Here are 5 things I loved about this performance:
• The choreography perfectly captures the essence of krump while still telling a story. It's impressive how they've managed to contain such high-energy movements in a structured piece.
• FELIP's solo in the middle really stands out. His moves look authentic, not like someone just trying to imitate krump.
• The backup dancers also impressed me with their ability to express themselves through the choreography, rather than just executing moves with blank faces.
• I appreciated the creative use of formations, movement levels, and transitions throughout the piece. It shows a lot of thought went into adapting krump for this concept.
• The overall theme, inspired by the mythical creature Bakunawa (the Moon Eater), adds an intriguing layer to the performance.
It's refreshing to see an artist incorporate a street style like krump into their music video, especially with such skill and authenticity. This performance really showcases FELIP's versatility as an artist.
What did you all think of the video? Any favorite krump moves or moments that stood out to you? Let me know in the comments!
