In this episode, I present the work of my good friend, the late Dr. Jannay P. Valdez. Dr. Valdez discusses his belief that Billy the Kid wasn't killed by Pat Garrett in 1881. Dr. Valdez was the primary author of the book he co-wrote with Judge Bob Hefner, Billy the Kid: Killed In New Mexico...Died In Texas. Dr. Valdez earned a PhD in Education from Texas A&M Commerce in addition to 6 other degrees and was in education his entire life. He served as a teacher, coach, and Principal – and was Dean of Hill College. He was the author of several books, including Billy the Kid “Killed” in New Mexico – Died in Texas, Bernie Sanders… He Would Have Been Elected President, Leadership Styles of the Academic Vice-Presidents of Texas Senior Colleges and Universities. Furthermore, he served as curator of both the Billy the Kid Museum of Canton, Texas and The Outlaw Museum.
