This glorious 1972 Ford Pinto is everything the Runabout should have been, despite the Pinto's bad reputation and tendency for rear-end explosions. Originally built for modified production-class racing, this proper Pinto epitomizes the slow-car-fast experience—even if it sounds like an angry lawnmower. A peek under the hood reveals its original 210,000-mile short-block 4-cylinder engine, tuned to 120 horsepower, and fed by dual side-draft carburetors. To some, this is still the worst car ever made.
