Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Have you ever thought about visiting Provincetown during the off season? This vlog shows a quick visit during the first weekend of October with a stay at the Provincetown Inn. The vlog will show you around the lobby, hotel, and our room (Room 29), and it will show a preview of the breakfast options. While we didn't stay in an accessible room, I will tell about some information about the accessible options. Some pros of the hotel: - Full of art - Good location - Free shuttle to downtown - On the ocean - First floor of the hotel is pretty accessible - multiple options for food Cons: - No images of the accessible rooms on their website - Shuttle is not accessible - No automatic doors to the pool area If you are new to the channel, I have a rare muscle disease, so for extended adventures I use my mobility scooter. However, for this trip I used a transport chair since we weren't staying in an accessible room. We visited the downtown area and ate at JD's, Scott's Cupcakes, the Brewhouse, and Governor Bradford's. While the downtown area isn't too accessible for shopping options (some stores are, but most aren't), there are a bit more options when it comes to dining. Some options are quick bites, and in there is also entertainment with the Brewhouse (drag show - we went on a "cats" themed night) and Governor Bradford's (karaoke). During the day, the weather was perfect, but it got a bit chilly at night. While summer is definitely the most lively time in p-town, there are a lot of savings on hotels in the off season. Some places close in the winter, but when we went there was plenty to do, so I definitely recommend visiting during this time. As I mention in the video, the town and others (there is an organization called Accessible Provincetown) have recognized that being an old town, Provincetown isn't the most accessible. The beaches have seen improvements in this area, especially Herring Cove which has accessible showers. Multiple beaches have beach wheelchairs and mobi-mats. So while there is a lot of accessibility, it is great to know that it is being worked on and improvements have been made. If you are staying more for a quick trip, research should be done on accessibility before unless you plan to spend a lot of time on the beach.
