"Unaccompanied Sonata” was first performed by the theater group Caramel Box in 2012 and has been highly acclaimed, attracting a total of more than 50,000 audiences at 10 venues nationwide. Based on a short story by American author Orson Scott Card, who won both the Nebula and Hugo awards for “Ender's Game,” the play depicts the spectacular life of a man discovered as a “musical genius” at a time when all human careers are determined by a test in their early childhood.
