We visited St John The Baptist Church in Duntisbourne Rouse just before Christmas, on our way to Gloucester Cathedral for the Xmas Concert. It had been brought to my notice by @englishpilgrim who’d said it was his favourite church visit of 2023 – so, I thought – “Gotta check this out!” It was a bright, beautiful, but chilly, day and we really needed (and felt) the warmth in this tiny Saxon church, that had been worshipped in, for many an age. I haven’t got a dash cam, but my ever supportive wife, held my mobile phone to film the scenic approach – she also took many photos, to assist – and gave me advice on the lovely Pump Organ too! It was a truly magical day – I hope you get some sense of it, whilst viewing it, wherever you may be.
NB. My YouTube channel picture actually came from this visit…;0)!
NNB Ben Maton @SalisburyOrganist ought to come here and play this properly for us!
