Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Well, I did it. I'm #1...OFFICIALLY. I never thought I would be racing vintage motocross at 47, but here I am. I'm racing a dream bike from my childhood, a 1990 Kawasaki KX 250. The class I am in is Next Generation racing at the Novice level. And I won the class this season! I worked pretty hard for this #1 trophy. My efforts must have been noted because I surprisingly received the Most Improved MX Rider award. We can't wait to start the new season. AHRMA Northeast puts on 13 races a year. Minimum 6 to qualify, best 7 count toward year end points standings. Last year I raced 6 and finished 2nd for the year. This year I was determined to ace it, and I wanted to hit more races. So..... I threw down at 8 races getting really confident on my bike. So, the best 7 left me comfortably at #1 for the season. After worrying about the last race I couldn't make, it was confirmed that I clinched the #1 title. Hoorayyyy for me! So now on to the much-awaited banquet and swap meet. We began with happy hour and dinner followed by a cool presentation by Jack Penton of Penton/KTM about their racing history and a little about the US 6 days enduro team. Finally, on to the awards. A few awards in... the presenter Merrit starts explaining an award given to a rider that showed the most improvement over the last season...then he said this year's award goes to........ and said my name...MY NAME!!?!! What??!!?? Holy shit!! WOW what a feeling to get an unexpected award at a large banquet like this. Then later on we got to the class awards...#1 goes to.....?? Yep, yours truly. I won a cool jacket, and I got my #1 plaque. I also earned my way up to intermediate from novice, and a yellow stripe to display on my helmet. Oh yeah!! After the banquet ended, we went to an after-hours at the hotel bar. We cut out earlier than most, looking forward to the swap meet the next day. There were a ton of cool restored bikes in the Bike Show portion of the PVR Swap Meet. Our fellow racer, group organizer and banquet presenter Merrit won the Pre Mod MX class with a SWEET Maico 490. Congratulations!! I found a little green hotwheels dirt bike, got into a minibike raffle and got my 2025 calendar. We even saw Dave @bullpencycles creating content, check out his detailed coverage of the weekend! It was great seeing everyone again and can't wait to start the 2025 season. I'm thrilled to say I'm hooked on this vintage racing thing. The people are some kind of awesome I can't really explain. Stay tuned. #kawasaki #ahrma #Heatwave #couplegoals #dirtbike #winner #horse #rescuehorse #vintagemotocross #vintagemotorcycles
