This is a product I've really wanted to try for a long time. It’s a portable electric assist device called Powerheel. When you look at its appearance, it has a really sleek design. As for the components, it includes adapters for attaching it to the seat post in different sizes. The main unit itself weighs around 2kg, which surprised me because it’s much lighter than I expected. The design is clean, and I can control its modes through the app, which I’ve synced. There are four modes to choose from. When you select mode 2, for example, the color of the main unit changes accordingly. The strongest mode is called Fly Mode, and the weakest is Eco Mode. I had mixed expectations, but after today’s ride, I’m genuinely impressed. I think I’ll be using it frequently. One clear downside, though, is that it doesn’t help much on inclines. Since the roller propels the tire, it doesn’t provide much power when climbing. So, if you’re hoping for uphill assistance, it’s best not to rely on it for that. As a flat-surface booster, though, it’s fantastic. With about 26% battery left after riding 30 km, I should have enough to make it back another 30 km.
