PicoVNA 5 is a complete measurement solution that enables you to get the most out of your PicoVNA instrument. PicoVNA 5 includes a user interface that makes it quick and easy to collect measurements, and also a Software Development Kit (SDK) that enables you to embed the full power of the PicoVNA 5 software into your own application. APIs in many languages (including C++ and Python) are available as part of the SDK.
In this video, Matthew demonstrates use of the SDK by showing how to control the PicoVNA instrument directly using the Python API. Matthew explains some of the key features of the API, shows how to set up a custom measurement, and demonstrates how to retrieve and process the data collected during that measurement.
The cross-platform SDK comes with support for Windows, macOS, Linux and Raspberry Pi 4/5. A freely-available demonstration mode enables you to try out the full functionality of the SDK (and develop your new application) offline, without direct access to a PicoVNA instrument.
