n Western Quebec, during the Indian Summer, the forests take on intense colors that give the landscapes their unique charm. Although little known, Western Quebec is central to everything that shapes and nourishes the imagination: the coureurs des bois and their canoes filled to the brim with heavy furs, the first settlers clearing wild lands, the joy of prospectors finding gold, and the ingenuity of trappers. As they travel through the different regions along this route, they encounter today's adventurers and builders, following the paths once taken by Champlain and other explorers. Ismael Khelifa is accompanied by Alexis Lopez, photographer, filmmaker, and adventurous explorer, on a journey that begins in Montreal and ends in the Outaouais.
