Quickly judge phase compatibility using SubAligner

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

The greater the phase compatibility between two speakers:
1. The wider the bandwidth (magnitude plot)
2. The greater amount of darkly colored phase trace (phase plot)
3. The greater range of allowed level change between elements (Limits popup)

Although the bandwidth is an independent indicator, I decided to mention it here because if the crossover region is wide and the alignment and summation look good, that could be an indicator of good phase compatibility.

I love to geek out about the physics of sound. This channel focuses on the growing opportunity for live sound engineers to improve their confidence and consistency through the understanding of the principles of sound system design and optimization. My goal is to make this channel upfront and honest about my success and failure, so you can learn from both.

I am always open to suggestions and feedback so please comment on this video or contact me through my site.
