In this HVAC Training Video, I Show 4 Examples for You to Check the R-22 Refrigerant Charge Using the Subcooling Method. These 4 scenarios would be used on a system with a thermostatic expansion valve TXV in order to check the charge and for troubleshooting. Total Superheat is still measured to verify if the TXV is doing its job properly. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVACR Tech while performing tasks as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.
