We visited “Rabbit Island,” the only rabbit paradise in the world. (Okunoshima / Tadanoumi-cho, Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture) This is the fourth time we have shot there🐇🐇
About 600 rabbits live on the island, and the uninhabited island, which has a circumference of about 4 km, was filled with cute rabbits! However, we felt that there were fewer rabbits than the last time we were there. We went to check out several nests, but often we could not see them. There are many natural enemies such as large birds and crows, and the rabbits are quickly running away at the sound of noises and shadows, and they are also making their nests in ingenious ways. We also introduce a little about the current situation of these rabbits and the island. Of course, we were also able to capture many cute scenes of rabbits and their natural relaxation! * From Hiroshima Station
- By train: JR Hiroshima Station → JR Tadanoumi Station, about 1 hour and 45 minutes
- By highway bus: JR Hiroshima Station → JR Tadanoumi Station, about 1 hour and 30 minutes
- JR Tadanoumi Station → Ferry terminal, about 5 min. by walk.
- Ferry terminal → Okunoshima, about 15 min. by ferry.

Description: Summary: One of 700 islands in the Seto Inland Sea. An uninhabited island (no permanent residents, some residents) belonging to Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Known as “Rabbit Island”. It takes about 15 minutes by boat from Tadanoumi Port in Takehara City. This small island with a circumference of about 4 km was called “the island erased from the map” because of a poison gas factory during World War II. Today, it is designated as a national park and is known as home to about 600 rabbits, attracting many animal-loving tourists from Japan and abroad.

島には、約600匹のウサギが暮らしており、1周約4kmの無人島の中は可愛いうさぎたちで一杯でした！ただ、前回の撮影に比べるとうさぎたちが少なかった気もします。何ヶ所かの巣をチェックしに行きましたが会えない事も多かったです。大型の鳥類やカラスなど天敵も多い中で、うさぎたちも物音や影で素早く逃げたり、工夫して巣を作ったりしています。そんな島とウサギたちの現状も少しご紹介しています。もちろん、うさぎの可愛いシーンや自然にくつろぐ姿もたくさん撮影できました！ぜひ最後まで動画をお楽しみください🐰
