Rails in Wales 2005. Neath Abbey, Onllwyn and Carmarthen.

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

It's now over 20 years ago since I was driving around South Wales recording unusual movements of Railtours and freight. Starting at Newport with 47316/828 on the "Cotswold Caper" on February 12th 2005; note the 08 on freight empties to Llanwern. Next I'm off to Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen where we catch the Serco Train before she moves off to Onllwyn and back down to Neath, where we're fortunate to also record a passing fully loaded coal train down to the mainline. Finally back at the top of Stormy Bank the "Stoneliner" storms to the top of the bank towards Cardiff. A good couple of days with movements not around in 2025?
