In August 2020, the radio tower and antenna at Pathfinder Outdoor Education Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa collapsed after enduring 100+ mph winds in a derecho.
In November 2024, over 4 years after the historic derecho, members of Venture Crew 2000 help assemble and raise a new radio tower.
