Feeding Rabbits Without Pellets | Reduce Pellets With Mixed Grain Alternative | Raising Meat Rabbits
Today we are answering a viewer's question about how we use mixed grain as an alternative to feeding rabbits without pellets for our Champagne d'Argent rabbits. Although we lean towards pellet feed for its convenience, we have enjoyed this exercise and are now thinking about adding it back into rotation. It has also lead to some interesting discussion about costs and expenses that will be shared in an upcoming video.
Mixture Recipe:
2-3 scoops whole oats
2 scoops whole wheat
2 scoops whole barley (we didn't have any on hand so I added one more scoop of the wheat and one of the oats)
1 scoop black oil sunflower seeds
1/2 scoop of split green peas (could use green pea flakes if they are available near you, we just buy split peas at the grocery store)
