My friend invited me to Tunisia's northern city, Bizerte, to see what Ramadan is like there. I found out Bizerte has many of its own unique Ramadan traditions like firing off a cannon (Madfa) to signal when it's time to break the fast, a delicious dessert called Rfissa, and a special Droô (sorghum pudding). We eat a delicious traditional Iftar dinner, walk around Bizerte's medieval Medina to check out their Ramadan nightlife, and get stuck waiting and hour and a half for Bizerte's famous lift bridge to let boats pass through.
