Within the past couple years there’s been a massive rise in the indie animation genre especially on YouTube. There’s been a bunch of new indie projects releasing everywhere, leading to an entire community forming. The main way an indie show gets traction is through the release of a pilot. It sets the stage for the rest of the series, gets people engrossed in the world and also gets the ball rolling for that initial fandom to grow around it. On my channel I've reviewed plenty of indie pilots, but there’s also a few I never got to review. In this video I'll sit down and review a bunch of indie pilots and rank them. In case you haven’t seen this format before, I'll discuss each show, what i liked about them, disliked and things I'd like to see in the future. They’ll be ranked on a tier list from S down to D. S being my absolute favourite, B being pretty decent in the middle, and D being my least favourite. Indie animation isn’t a competition obviously, so this is just for a bit of fun. Let’s jump in.
