Hi all,
Whilst over at Dan's place collecting the Ruston Engine, I spotted this saw. He said it was for sale, the price was right and a deal was done! Many thanks Dan for delivering the saw, much appreciated!
This is a Rapidor - Manchester power hacksaw. This one was originaly driven by a Crompton Parkinson motor but I prefer it with one of my stationary engines running it!
It will cut through 2" hardened steel bar in about 15 minuits and anything else that size in about a minuit. It needs a little work to the clutch, I daern't use it as the lever is a bit fragile.
By the way, the engine is a 1950 Wolseley WD8 which I restored early last year.
Enjoy....
