An MCM vintage home setting, a jewelry mini-boutique, even an Airstream vintage campground are just a few of the creative ways antique dealers are showing at this major show in Portland, Oregon! Rose City Vintage Market offers a huge variety of everything from true antique music players and Native Americana to found brass objects and studio glass & pottery, shown in ways that inspire our own vintage collecting and decorating at home.
We start with a rare pre-show preview of my booth at this great collector event, where a sparkling Christmas tree and a huge collection of red-orange decanters and swung vases give a different take on holiday decorating. We've clustered fabulous Fenton glass, Halloween displays and a big variety of freshly found finds in a giant booth shared by three of us resellers, and we're excited to get to show you before the buyers come in to raid our displays!
Then we travel the rest of the show, where creative minds have set about forming vignettes and displays that can help vintage collectors see how these cool old things can integrate into their 21st century homes. A framed wall turns a pile of old metal decor into a shiny display of wall art, while a space festooned with beautiful 1910s lamps tempts us to take it all with us. Spaces devoted to advertising signs, tins and vintage clothing all give a unique perspective on how vintage style can be our style too!
Just as much fun are the people we meet at this burgeoning Northwest antique bazaar...a toy dealer who travels Europe with other enthusiasts @leicestervintagetoyshop on YouTube, a dealer bringing Grandmacore to life to lure the bevy of younger collectors finding their way to antiques and new YouTuber @brigittelefever all are here to expand the fun and intrigue this cool antique and vintage collecting has to offer!
We're so excited to watch this show grow, and look forward to our return to @RoseCityVintageMarket in July of 2025.
