This was our first time tackling Rattlesnake Canyon in Big Bear and it turned out to be a bit more challenging than we expected. That’s mostly thanks to having a full-size F-150 Raptor with us. While the Jeep handled the tighter sections with ease, the Raptor had to work a little harder to squeeze through.
Surprisingly, the Raptor made it through the entire trail without a single scratch or dent, but it took a spotter and a lot of patience. Now, if you don’t mind a few rock kisses, wheel scrapes, or some fresh pinstripes, you can get through without a spotter just fine but you will need a shorter wheel base and high clearance vehicle like a #jeepwrangler
