The Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series Reserve Bank of India declared that it would shortly produce 100 and 200 rupee denomination banknotes. The RBI declared that the design of these notes will be exactly the same as that of the current 100 and 200 rupees banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series.
