This is a big video for me — I'm sharing that I’m autistic. I filmed the first part of this video quite a while ago, back when I first spoke to my support worker and got referred for an autism assessment. It was a time of so much confusion, but also relief as I started to make sense of things. The second part is me now — officially diagnosed. It’s been a long journey, and I wanted to share it honestly with you all, from the first moment I realized I might be autistic to receiving my diagnosis.
I’ll be sharing more soon about the whole process — the referral, the assessment, and everything in between — but for now, I just needed to share this news. I’ve been holding back for a long time, waiting until I felt ready, and today feels like the right time.
I hope this video helps others who might be on a similar path or simply offers some insight into what this process has been like for me. as always, I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences in the comments. Let’s keep the conversation going 💛
