Today, we took the first important steps in rebuilding my father's house.
We gathered construction materials, dismantled part of the old gable wall, removed sections of the old house, and carefully dug the foundation for the new home.
During the foundation work, we even came across a small snake living in the old earthen wall — a reminder of how long this place has stood untouched.
