Here I go again. This wasn't what I planned to talk about, but there are no rules, so freestyling feels like a joy! I've recently discovered that 31 years of masking has put my body into a state of constant stress, setting in motion an ever-increasing need for high-intensity stimuli to compensate. And now I've seen it, I'm really not happy about it. 00:00 - 02:29 - life updates 02:30 - me + stress 02:55 - health reset + mineral testing 04:08 - brief interlude to show you how I count 04:55 - back to results from my mineral testing 05:30 - ‘Living with severe stress consistently’ 06:48 - using high-stress exercise to give myself energy 09:00 - experiencing stress-free living 12:00 - am I using work to give myself energy too? 12:45 - my day job and why I do it 13:30 - workplaces are systems for living - 13.30 15:40 - I used to thrive working in a newsroom environment 17:30 - ADHD recommended jobs 19:10 - I don’t want that stress in my life anymore Disclaimer: I talk about hormones here (adrenaline, cortisol, endorphins) and am aware that my fluency around this stuff is really limited - please don't disregard what I'm saying if the science is wrong, and if you want to know more about the science, please look into expert sources. I also reference some work I've done with an incredibly legit and excellent practitioner - she has some amazing resources and insights that you can find on her website: https://www.vivanaturalhealth.co.uk/.
