Salomon Morel: Victim and perpetrator... During the war, his immediate family was brutally murdered. After the war, he became the commander of the Zgoda labor camp in Świętochłowice, famous from his cruelty, where, after the fall of the Third Reich, Silesians were held in terrible conditions, starved, raped and tortured. Then he was an officer in a juvenile prison in Jaworzno, where they tried to convert them to the one correct political views. At the same time, Shlomo, affectionately called "madman" by his partisan colleagues, was a beloved family man and a well-liked playmate, prone to jokes. So who really was Commander Morel? A victim, an executioner, an avenger, an overzealous functionary of the system?
This is the story of a merciless red executioner who unfortunately escaped justice.
