On scene video of a working dwelling fire in the Red Rose Gate section of Levittown.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 4:30PM Friday afternoon to Red Ridge Rd for a reported house fire. William Penn Deputy 77 arrived on the scene with smoke showing from the attic of a two story single family dwelling. Crews arrived on the scene and went in service to the interior and located fire in the kitchen area and spreading.
Firefighters from William Penn, Middletown Emergency Services and Levittown #2 went in service on the interior with multiple handlines off Engine 77 in an aggressive attack on the fire while Penndel Tower 8 opened up the roof for ventilation.
One male on the scene was transported by EMS to an area hospital according to local news source as well as multiple cats were rescued and unfortunately one cat did not survive.
Aside from all Middletown companies; Fairless Hills, Bensalem and Bristol Township fire companies were also present on the scene assisting with bringing the fire under control. The fire is under investigation by Middletown Fire Marshals Office.
