Red Velvet Cake Recipe
1- 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp vinegar
1 to 2 oz. red food coloring
2-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
cream sugar and oil
add eggs and beat well
add vinegar and food coloring beat well
sift all dry ingredients together in a separate bowl
add flour to sugar mixture altering flour and milk beat well
add vanilla
pour into cake pan
bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or according to your oven
Cream Cheese Frosting
1 stick unsalted butter
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
cream butter and cheese
add sugar mix well
add nuts
spread on cake
