Well, apart from the “mishap” that happened where they had to delay the MV, I have to say, it is actually really really well made, and I loved being able to attempt to understand anything lol What I know for sure is that they’re never beating the cult allegations nsnsns The song, the chorus at least, is giving me ethereal summer vibes and I really like it! Though, overall, the whole song will have to grow on me; I’ll be letting it marinate and see how I feel about it in a little while. So based on what I read on the Midsommar, I guess they’re basically following the protocol ? But they’re out to hunt down their “husband”? OR, it is just them trying to indoctrinate someone new? Not sure, but they definitely were chasing someone, trying to trap them, and looks like they succeeded! The song also reminded me a bit of ‘Feel my rhythm” because of how grand (?) it sounded? Majestic even! And another movie reference that I did not watch, so take it with a grain of salt but, it gave me MAMA MIA ? And since I did say it that the song had a bit of ABBA in it … I’m tempted to believe that my brain did something lol Since Midsummer is also from Sweden from what Google is telling me.
Anyway, loved the MV a lot, and like I said, I’ll let the song marinate for a bit and revisit it to see how it would have grown on me!
