In this lesson you’ll learn to create beautiful jazz solos over the II-V-I progression by using minor pentatonic scales that are shifted in a chromatic way. This way of improvising results in many colour notes and tension notes an results in no less than three scale flavours over the 4 bar progression. You’ll also learn something about the altered sale and how to use a pentatonic substitution for this altered scale. All the ideas can easily be used in other styles too.
