In this video, I'll show you how to get a quick but qualitative rendering from a FreeCAD model, using the Render Workbench.
The advantage of the Render WorkBench is that all scene preparation (lighting, material assignment, camera positioning, etc.) is carried out directly in FreeCAD and remains stored in the FCStd model, which saves the user from:
1. Having to master a potentially complex third-party tool
2. Wasting time on export/import steps with no added value
3. Having to redo all the scene preparation each time the model changes (even slightly)
The tutorial is illustrated with Intel OSPRay Studio, but the approach would be the same with all supported renderers: LuxCoreRender, Appleseed, POV-Ray, Cycles, etc.
