0:38
so introduce yourself and tell us what you do um okay so my name is sedon I'm from Sydney Australia um I'm a founder
0:45
of dignified caring um it's a it's a healthcare organization that provides
0:51
disability support for people living with disabilities um we focus on uh neurod degenerative uh uh rare genetic
1:00
disorders and spinal injuries um so those are the kind of disabilities that we provide support for we also provide
1:08
support for people with mental health so um yeah that's in a nutshell that's what
1:14
we do we have over about between 60 to 100 staff who are clinically trained and
1:21
also qualified I find this dager yeah and they and these These are
1:28
the wonderful human beings who go out there and provide the support of of the highest standard you're such a delicate
1:35
lady and when I first met you um it was really good for me because I we're going
1:40
to get through your story right but where I laugh about how you've come such
1:46
a long way mhm through having hurdles that you've had to overcome Y what is
1:53
just let's go back a little bit and let's kind of tell a little bit fill everybody in on on your life okay well

they started to do some investigating but because um you know they didn't have enough resources or the tools to
2:19
actually investigate further they thought it was they thought it was best for me to go out um and uh seek
2:25
treatment elsewhere so my dad migrated to Australia um so because of the treatment that you had
2:32
to go through your dad said right let's let's all take the family to Australia
2:37
that's right and I mean I have him to thank um for making that leap of faith
2:43
because he had to leave everything um everything everything he knew all the people he knew you know his work his
2:50
family um and he just came out here with my mom and me um and then we saw uh some
2:58
of the best uh surgeons uh some of the best doctors uh and so initially my
3:05
doctor saw me because he noticed that I had a curve in my back um and he said oh
3:10
you know it looks like it's scoliosis but then you know as he treated me further he noticed that uh he noticed
3:16
the low muscle tone and uh me not walking on time and and all of those Milestones that I was um taking time in
3:24
reaching and he said you know what this uh this is something that needs to be further investigated so
3:30
I underwent genetic testing and surely they found um that I
3:37
had a rare genetic syndrome named ear stanless syndrome um and I had a rarer
