My 1986 Honda CR125 went from donation to restoration! In this video, we follow the process of getting the bike in house, receiving all of the fresh parts for it, and restoring it to factory spec. In late 2021, a viewer of the channel reached out looking to donate his CR125 for me to restore and sit next to my other ’86 Honda motocross bikes. Usually I do not accept donations, but I took this project on.
We ordered all of the parts and restored this Honda to OEM except for the plastic and seat cover. A few of the major overhauls were the rebuild motor, restored forks, powder coated frame, cerakoted exhaust, stock bars, motor, foot pegs, etc. Big thanks to Kevin for handing this bike off to me and trusting me to restore it. This ’86 CR125 lives in my showroom next to my ’86 CR250 and CR500, completing the 1986 Honda trio.
