Video Not Working? Fix It Now

🇯🇵 As I settle into life in Japan, I’m becoming more aware of how the routines we adopt after sixty can solidify into unchanging habits, potentially shaping the rest of our lives. I see this in others—peers who committed to fixed practices and rarely left space for transformation. It’s a path that seems to lead toward the fossilization of self, where we risk becoming rigid and unyielding even before life’s end. My instinct is to resist this downward path of complacency, to remain adaptable and open to change, no matter my age. Still, part of me wonders: is there wisdom in steadfastness? In becoming rooted and immovable, like an ancient oak tree, a testament to the life and times that shaped us? Perhaps there’s value in growing old and fixed in our ways, standing firm against the winds of change. Join me as I explore these questions and reflect on how to live intentionally while embracing the complexities of aging. ➡️ Explore More: • Retiring in Japan: The Personal Journey of Kurt and Yumiko Bell (Hardcover edition recommended): https://a.co/d/40C8BBn • Website: https://goingalone.org • Email: [email protected] • Discord Community: https://discord.gg/srfDtMN5jA • Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/softypapa 📚 Be safe… but not too safe.
