In Chrono Trigger, a young swordsman named Crono is thrust into an epic time-traveling adventure after a scientific mishap sends his friend, Marle, into the past. Teaming up with allies from different eras—including a noble knight-turned-frog, a rebellious princess, a brilliant inventor, and even a futuristic robot—Crono uncovers a sinister force called Lavos that threatens to destroy the world. With the fate of time itself at stake, the group travels across history, battling enemies, altering destinies, and seeking a way to stop Lavos before it brings about the planet’s ruin.
Chrono Trigger was released on March 11, 1995, in Japan for the Super Famicom and on August 22, 1995, in North America for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).
