Revenge of the Drive-in Movie Theater looks at the small but notable resurgence of America's once thriving movie venue during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
Their mostly brief popularity was contributed by the nationwide lockdowns and mandates that closed many businesses to the public that year—movie theaters being one of them. Proving to be a safer alternative, drive-ins gained spotlight and caused a number of startups and temporary venues to open across the country.
This documentary covers the history of these theaters, a look into their current operations, and perspective given by the kind people who run them and interact with them within Arkansas.
