We moved to Germany from the USA in February of 2021, and our first time going back was 10 months later, for Christmas! I honestly didn't think we'd notice many differences before we arrived, but I was wrong! We began to notice things right away that we'd forgotten about while living in Germany. We kept a list while there for two weeks and sat down to record it for you all - 20 things in total, and we could've done more! There were many little things that by themselves aren't a big deal but added up, they equal culture shocks. So here's our list of things we missed about Germany while in the USA and things that were strange for us.

20:46 - 11 - We missed DM - there are higher prices at American drugstores and way more toxic products.
21:45 - 12 - We missed the delicious and healthy German Frühstuck you can get in German hotels.
22:46 - 13 - We missed how easy it is to get fast, healthy food in Germany - harder to get healthy food in the USA
23:58 - 14 - We missed sparkling water!
24:14 - 15 - It was strange to have cold drinking water and have ice in our drinks again!
25:18 - 16 - It was strange to not have to do Lüften while there!
25:52 - 17 - We missed toilet bowl brushes! LOLOLOL
27:16 - 19 - We missed having lots of traffic circles! (Roundabouts)
28:31 - 20 - We missed the high, unlimited speeds of the German autobahn.
